Central Kansas Foundation has been using the 12 steps to help addicts since 1967. Located in Salina, a city about 90 miles north of Wichita, and founded by a recovering alcoholic, this residential treatment facility addresses chemical dependency and mental health issues in a therapeutic environment.

Through state funding and a sliding scale based on income, no one is turned away due to finances.
