Our residential facility is located at 210 2nd Street SE in Hickory, provides the setting for a unique one-year Christian recovery/rehab program for women - the only such program available for women in Hickory or the Catawba County NC area. Our goal is to provide women with the opportunity and necessary resources to heal from past wounds and resulting coping behaviors.

We believe a faith-based, holistic approach is the most effective for life change.  Thus, our program is built upon five key components:

    Spiritual RENEWAL
    Meaningful RELATIONSHIPS
    Lifetime RECOVERY tools
    RETRAINING the heart, mind, and body
    Access to needed RESOURCES

Application Process: Referring agencies, organizations, and individuals are to first complete the entire application packet and submit it to Safe Harbor. Someone will attempt to contact the applicant or referral to confirm receipt of application and advise if there is an opening and whether the applicant is an appropriate candidate for the program. If there is an opening and the applicant is appropriate, the next step would be a phone interview, scheduled through our case manager. After the phone interview, a decision (from applicant and our staff) would determine whether to take the next step, which is a face to face interview with at least 2 of our staff. If all parties agree to an appropriate fit, intake date would be scheduled.
