My eighteen year old daughter was 85 lbs when she went down to The Watershed from our home in New Jersey. she had been using opiates. She had basically dropped out of school and life and was stealing from me to support her habit. I had her arrested and gave her a choice : county jail or long term rehab. ( she had been through a few already) . what I now believe was a miracle I saw an internet advertisement for the watershed and having hit bottom myself made the call and my daughter was on a flight that afternoon. the staff at watershed took care of everything. They detoxed her she got therapy and meetings and later the intensive outpatient program. when she relapsed they sent her back to the beginning and worked with her all over again. she had to get life skills, a part time job and make steady progress to earn rewards and small freedoms that would enhance her new sober lifestyle without jeopardizing her clean time. The techs are strict and kept an eye on her and did not let get away with bad attitude . She wants to continue to live in the Florida area to avoid relapse in her home town which is a huge step for her in terms of mature thinking. She has a steady job and has been clean for a while now. She is no longer a talking skeleton .
