First Step House services provided: Substance abuse treatment services Substance abuse treatment, Halfway house.

We are a non-profit corporation serving primarily low-income individuals. Our residential program serves male clients only, while our outpatient program serves both male and female clients. Our programs are abstinence-based; our facilities are drug- and alcohol-free, and are clean, safe, and orderly.

First Step House uses a comprehensive treatment approach. Our treatment model is based on the techniques of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and includes group therapy, individual counseling, life skills and relapse prevention education, and motivational enhancement. We are not a 12 Step-based program; we do encourage clients to become involved in community-based self-help groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12 Step fellowships (including LDS 12 Step), Rational Recovery, and other groups that support recovery.

All First Step House programs are abstinence-based programs. Our facilities are drug and alcohol free, and are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
