Child and Family Services’ Transitional Living Program (TLP) is a voluntary, 12- 18 month program that provides supportive housing, life skills training and support services to young people, ages 18 to 21, who are homeless or transitioning out of foster care. The program is designed to promote self-sufficiency and reduce the risk of future homelessness. Through TLP, young people get the chance to identify their own personal goals and receive help in reaching them.
CFS also provides assisted independent living services for young people, ages 18-21, who are homeless, pregnant and/or parenting. The program endeavors to help young people make life decisions in a supportive environment. Participants learn to develop parenting skills, life skills and achieve self-sufficiency.
