Carolinas Counseling does offer individual substance abuse counseling if this service is needed or requested. Often times, however, we do recommend group counseling due to the higher rate of success in substance abuse counseling with groups.

The professionals at Carolinas Counseling do believe that it is important to meet each person where they are and provide a treatment approach specific to their individual needs. As a result of this approach, we may create a treatment plan that includes either individual or group counseling or the combination of both.

Treatment planning is a process where counselor and client work together to create a plan for the counseling approach. This process includes considering the clients goals, strengths, supports and individual needs as well as concerns. We use experience and evidence-based approaches that will be appropriate to each client and serve as a stepping stone on the path to recovery.
